Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Precursor Blocks

I propose a modest, balanced way to bring new Shulkers into the world.

First, you craft what I'm choosing to call a Precursor Block. There's a lot of ways we could craft this, but I'm thinking the ideal recipe would be an End Crystal surrounded by Popped Chorus Fruit. 

After that, well, you're going to need help.

The Precursor Block is in most respects, just another variety of Purpur Block. You the player can't make anything out of it. But Endermen can. They simply pick it up, and place it down as a Shulker. Unlike other blocks, Endermen are drawn to Precursor Blocks.

Should the Developers feel this is too easy:

1. The behavior could be confined to the End.

2. Perhaps only some Endermen have this ability, much like how only some Zombies can pick up items.

3. The Endermen could occasionally teleport a short distance away with your Precursor Block first.

Why I believe this is a great addition:

1. Endermen get to interact with their environment in a new, intriguing way.

2. Its recipe is consistent with player progression. You can't craft it without Chorus Fruit, meaning you still have to go to the Outer End, and the natural next step for many players is to craft End Crystals so that they may re-summon the Ender Dragon.

3. It gives End Crystals yet another purpose. Did they need one? Maybe not, but I think it's nice.

4. Shulker Shells would be renewable, but players can't easily farm them without having built other farms first.

    A very intruiging idea.
    Personally, I like the challenge of having to find an end city and taking down shulkers to get shulker boxes.
    I also don't think the Ender man thing makes much sense.
    But!
    It would bring much needed use to chorus and ender crystals.
    So!
    I propose that the precursor block, crafted with an end crystal, two purpur blocks, four shulker shells and two endstone bricks, teleports away if hit by the player (the only way to pick it up would be with silk touch pick) but in its place it leaves a shulker mob.
    To put endermen into the mix, they would be attracted to the blocks and want to pick them up, but the precursor would teleports away if they try to. Farm possibilities are here.
    To stop it from being to op, the block can only teleport three times. But it can be refuelled if right clicked with a chorus fruit to give it another three teleports. This can also be done by a dispenser. But the block can only be refuelled four times, each time changing the appearance of the block to look more cracked, and increasing the distance it can teleport, because its more "unstable".
    Also the precursor block cn be placed by dispensers, much like shulker boxes. And they only teleport in the end. 
    This all means that shulkers can be farmable, but only with a chorus farm and also some considerable endstone mining
