Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Chains get Directional Placement

I'm super excited about the building possibilities with this new update and the addition of chains is amazing. It would be a great addition if chains could be placed sideways in the same way end rods are placed and also allowing the Chains to link up to Tripwire Hooks visually would be amazing giving us the ability to have vertical tripwires.

    I thought I posted something like this in a lot more detail, I may have done it wrong but as you have posted something similar successfuly (thankfully). But I said in that post directional chains could work like Minecart rails if it's plased on the floor this will mean there will be angled chains (uphill) which will connect at a steeper angle when connecting to normal chains. It will also mean you will be able to do twists and turns. I also suggested that if a chain was placed on a chain it will show the default model and connect accordingly.

    And not only sideways, the chains should also be able to be placed diagonally(You would rotate them much like an item in an item frame), and can be either from edge to edge or corner to corner.

    This is exactly what GoodTimesWithScar, acting Mayor of HermitCraft season 7, asked for in episode 24. Please Mojang. Before 16.2, please add this! It would be AMAZING as a design feature. (also make them climbable when in vertical mode)
