Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Just wondering why do you want gravel? It is one of the most useless blocks in the game, with its only purpose is to drop flint. Besides traps or roads it is the the most useless block in the game. It would mess up cobble generators (for those who just want cobblestone) and it fill up your chests so quickly. Furthermore, unlike cobblestone, you can't make houses or anything out of it, because it is affected by gravity. And it doesn't look good either. The only time I have ever used gravel was once for a villager trapdoor, to protect my cartographers. Sorry if this comes off as mean, but why do you want gravel?

My guess for the need to gravel is because gravel is the one ingredient in arrows that is hard to farm locally but I could be wrong, concrete may be more likely. I might prefer a way other than cobblestone drops though. What about a recipe to turn cobblestone into gravel? or a tool for that? One I would be curious about would a crafting block or tool meant to mash things up like stone -> cobblestone -> gravel.

Everyone here asking about the relevance of gravel is forgetting about concrete
