Raid deterrents
The current system of raids in bedrock (20% probability of a patrol spawning every ~10 mins) can be a little much when youre grinding out your sixth raid of the day and losing villagers left and right.
After the village and pillage update a lot of players Saw the benefit in fortifying, upgrading and customising the villages in the game.
Sometimes patrols can spawn inside your village walls, caverns underneath, inside houses which are considered outside the village.
However a "patrol cap" could be implemented to balance raids, in that multiple patrols can't accumulate around you as you play the game, as well as give players the option to prevent raids.
This could be achieved if the player causes a patrol captain to use up the entire durability on their crossbow to breakage, after this the illager would become docile as normal, a lead can then be attached and used to transport him to a "prison" inside the village, once the captain is imprisoned, no further attempts are made to spawn a patrol in the vicinity of the village due to the patrol cap being filled. In terms of the game, it's basically you defeating a captain and scaring off potential raiders.
