Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Mundane Cane (Paper in the Nether)

     Everything is here, Leather from Hoglins, Obsidian from Piglins or Fortresses, Diamonds from Nether Fortresses, and Planks from Huge Fungi...  everything is here, except for paper. Currently there is no way to get paper solely in the Nether other than just bringing it there, meaning no Enchantment tables in Nether only challenges. To fix this I bring you Mundane Cane, which would be a Nether variety of Sugercane that can be used to craft paper in the same way. Mundane Cane would occasionally generate next to Lava and would grow at speeds similar to normal Sugarcane (maybe a bit faster). Mundane Canes cannot be planted away from lava much like how Sugarcanes are with water as well. On top of paper, perhaps Mundane Canes could also be the source of redstone in the Nether (because Mundane potions) and could be obtained by placing one Mundane Cane in the crafting interface (like Sugercanes with sugar).

 

(Another name for it could be Nether Reeds)

    I agree to this because it makes it easier and livable into nether.

    Brilliant! A lack of paper has stunted my nether-only survival challenge. Adding paper in the form of cane would give the nether a greater sense of completeness.

    you can still get bookshelves in the nether by finding enchanted books and using a grindstone on them.
