This new biome is filled with soul sand and soul soil also coming with blue soul sand and blue soul soil like red sand in the overworld if there is fire on blue soul sand it turns into gray fire which does 3 health points of damage you can also craft ghost fire torches and lanterns and campfires which do a weaker light then soul fire if you make a wither with this blue soul sand it turns into a light gray wither and always shoots blue skulls it gains strength and also gains a shield much quicker than normal if you defeat it you get a cracked nether star which you can crack by right clicking and you use it up and get a random beacon effect regeneration being the most rare effect. back to the biome many people know about the fossil in the overworld well it comes back to this biome and will be a boss the boss is the soul worm which jumps out of soul sand and can hide in there it is also called soul worm because it does 10 hearts of damage and gains extra health whenever it steals health or should i say SOULS! when you kill it you get a soul star i am making a paragraph later for a new block to. so check it out.
