Wearing yellow dyed leather armor fools Piglins... but only temporarily

If the player wears yellow dyed leather armour, Piglins will not attack them. However, bartering with a Piglin or coming too close to a Piglin (6 blocks) will cause it to realize you're not actually wearing gold and immediately start attacking you.

    Nice idea

    Would be cool if throwing piece of yellow-dyed armour would momentarily distract piglins because they have to check if it's gold or not.

    Honestly, I could see that working. It seems like a viable way for conserving gold for things like food and powered rails. However, leather armour is rarely used, likely since iron (or gold or diamond) can usually be found before enough cows/horses are bred for the leather, I don't see it being used too much. Plus gold is a tier above leather, so the gold would be better in terms of defence/durability.
    If I've missed something out, then say. I was just trying to evaluate this, but overall its be a nice addition. I like how they'd still attack when they realise.

    Maybe make them start to tilt their head as they start to notice and when they finally do make the villager particles come up signifying that they are turning hostile

    This seems like a really good idea, especially if you throw yellow dyed leather at them. They already have the animation where they hold the object and look at it, and if its gold armor they put it on. It would be nice to see this with yellow dyed armor, and they look for a few seconds, and when they realize its fake they attack. This is an amazing idea and I hope it gets implemented into the snapshot.

    If this is more Easter Egg-like in nature like SightNinja suggested, it would be cooler to make it so that the closer the RGB or hexadecimal color value of the leather armor is to that of gold itself, the longer the deception will last. This will be especially valuable in Bedrock edition since you can use cauldrons to dye leather different shades than normal.

    I like this idea, but I think that just 6 blocks away is too easy of a limit. That makes the whole reason of using gold armor almost worthless. I think that they should attack when you're 10 blocks away, & even if you're farther away, they should have a chance to still realize that you're not wearing real gold if you're in their normal line of sight (about 15 blocks) but more than 10 blocks away, if you're in that area too long. So it's a real risk-reward thing.

    I have to say that I am in agreement with Frostbite Boss4. 6 Blocks is too close to them: you can 100% do a Rush-Down attack from that range if you have to.

    I've always felt that leather armor has almost no purpose, but this is great! I think that this will totally fit into the game, and it adds actual functionality to leather armor. However, I do agree with some of the people in saying that 6 blocks is too close. Maybe somewhere around 9 or 10 would be better.
