One issue I have been having when surviving in the Nether is the lack of ways to obtain iron supplies. Currently the only to obtain iron is from the nether is from a fortress chest, or a tiny amount rarely given from bartering. This however is a problem due to the fact that in the nether you need iron more often than in the overworld. That is because of the larger need for buckets to remove or transport lava and all item sorters need more hoppers due to the no water rule in the nether. So a solution I have come up with is "Nether Iron Ore". This Ore has a rare chance of replacing a basalt block instead when it comes to both world generation and blue ice generation. Similar to nether gold ore it can be mined with any pickaxe, but drops nuggets and experience instead. This way players can have iron in the nether for their needs, without consistently going to the overworld each time they need it.
PS: Basalt itself is a naturally iron and magnesium rich stone, so having iron formed from it is real world based.
