Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Nightbane (Enchantment for swords)

     Nightbane would be an enchantment exclusive to swords that can be obtained via an enchantment table or as treasure. It would not be compatible with other damage boosting enchantments like sharpness or smite. When a sword is enchanted with Nightbane it will do increased damage to entities, but only at night. Much like other damage boosting enchantments, Nightbane would go up to level V and each level would be even more powerful than the last. Perhaps at the higher levels Nightbane can do extra damage in any dark place and not just at night.

    I can see the benefits--and drawbacks--to this, but tbh, I don't see a need.

    Most mobs you encounter at night (baring animals) are undead mobs, spiders, and creepers, add in the occasional witch and enderman for fun. Each of these types of mobs has a designated enchantment already (smite for undead, Bane of Arthropods for spiders sharpness for everything else), and it's not until mid-late game that you're gonna be adventuring outside at night anyway. TBH, this just sounds like a worse version of sharpness as that can work all day and do damage to all types of mobs.

    Maybe add a DayBane or whatever it would be called
