Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Riptide and lingering water bottles

I love Riptide. The ability to launch out of water, within water, and within rain, is amazing.

It is almost useless apart from flying in rain and taking monuments.

Its best use, as used by most of the community, is launching ender pearls super far, especially in the end islands. For this reason, i think it would be really cool if a player didnt have to place water from a bucket first. If a player could stand inside a Lingering Water Bottle and use the Riptide strike. Lingering potions are "unlocked" at the same time as the end islands too...

and being non-stackable, these potions are inconvenient enough for this attack to not be too overpowered for regular life in the overworld.

It would also allow the cool attack to take place in the Nether.

    Considering they'd be end game anyways I definitely support this idea. I actually already use a bucket (place it and quickly pick it back up so you can use riptide) for the same thing already, but lingering potion would be a more convenient (albeit consumable) way of doing the same thing.

     

    I also thing that just being in the lingering water effect should also give you the effect of a nearby conduit too.
