I have come up with an idea for a new sub biome using the 3d biome generation. The sub biome is mossy caves possibly inside snowy mountains in cliffs with small springs inside that have a few varieties of Moss. (Moss spreads 3-5 times slower than grass and mycelium.) on the can grow hanging moss which comes in variants one of which is about 10 pixels long while the other is about 4-6 pixels long. When grown in other biomes the color will change like grass but less subtle.
I also think there should also perhaps be some small magical flowers that grow on them. They don't really have a stem and are no larger than 9 pixels. There can at most only be 3 of them on a single block. The more flowers on each block would be rare being a 10% chance for the first one to spawn and a 5 % chance for each one after the first. This would make it rare because there is almost no sunlight and they rarely spread there pollen to reproduce. They are a magic flower that grows in a symbiotic relationship with the moss which gives them nutrients. they serve an aesthetic function and their benefits to the moss are unknown perhaps protecting the location of the cave from goats. (threw this in here since I thought it was funny and would be an interesting mechanic.) I also belve that goats should eat it if there are no flowers left to keep them away. (if you take the flowers the moss will eventualy die that way. Also he moss can not spread to the surface from the cave. (not enough space left to explain.)
