As minecraft slowly begins to transition into a more and more technologically advanced sandbox, restore contraptions definitely come to the minds of most players. However, even some of the most basic contraptions require iron to be functional— Wether it be pistons, hoppers, or any of the other iron-based recipes found in game. The large amount of this resource may sway players to build iron farms, a contraption that was never meant to be a part of the game, yet still is seen as a feature. My solution to this is to introduce Bog iron to the swamp biome. Such is real life, where historically swamps have been sought out for due to their rich and easily available (In minecraft terms, maybe 1-2 blocks underground) iron deposits put there by the rivers flowing into them. Having Bog iron means players no longer need to resort to exploiting the game for getting vast amounts of iron ore.
