Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

corrupted eye

With the nether update, it has sometimes become quite difficult, other times near impossible to find a nether fortress because the lands where they spawn have been decreased due to the addition of the warped and crimson forests. Nether fortresses play an extremely critical role in a player's game, so I propose something that would track the fortresses. A corrupted eye would work very similar to an eye of ender, but only works in the nether to track the nearest fortress, and has a 100% chance to shatter. It is craftable with 4 gold ingots(sides) and 4 nether quartz(corners) surrounding an ender pearl. Its texture would be very similar to the regular eye of ender, but it would be dark-red, and the particles would look like a bloody mist.

    The crafting recipe should be blocks, maybe something like gold nuggets and quartz surrounding a magma ball

    ChillySauce8213 yes that is a very good idea. But I believe that it should be full gold ingots(not hard to make with all the nether gold) and the middle should still be a pearl(because it is an eye, just like the regular one, and it should be somewhat consistent throughout variants). I will edit the post.
