Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

More expensive light sources should provide higher light levels

I saw another post here about redstone lamps emitting more or less light depending on the redstone input. I fully support that idea but didn't include it here to avoid repetition. :)

I was coming here to post this exact suggestion. This is a MUST imo. Having a 15 block max on light sources makes lighting larger areas almost impossible without basing your design around the lighting itself. The easiest solution is just like the OP said, a more powerful light source. Sea lanterns are the obvious answer without adding a new block. They're expensive and even look like they should be brighter than the other light sources lol. Increasing their light level to 25-30 would give the builder so many more options.

The scale that people build on in this game is way larger than when these light levels were determined, it would make sense that the lighting options would change to accommodate.
