Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

I think idea for Durability is interesting... But it might ruin a bunch of machinery dependent on Buckets tho and I don't think people would like that if you don't give alternatives for it... Yes you don't need buckets for a lot of things if you want to be cheap with your creations (Piston blocking flow of water will do fine in most cases), but you can't for example Put buckets in Dispensers hidden behind let's say a staircase for hidden water disposal,

Instead of durability I'm proposing to go more into storage capability.
While it wouldn't work much for Iron and Gold Buckets (because how you decide which one should carry more liquids? Maybe Gold because it could be "enchanted"/"magical" and it is more precious? Maybe Iron because it's more durable and can withstand more pressure, it's also harder metal in general), but could fit nicely into Netherite Bucket which could definitely hold way more of liquid because it's... well, more durable than Iron and Gold?
Storing and moving liquids could be amazing if you could hold like... I don't know... 10 blocks of Liquids in one slot?

You could use Durability bar to show how much of liquid is in Bucket instead - Iron and Gold bucket could hold 1 cubic meter of liquids, while Netherite bucket - let's say 10 because Netherite is super rare and we need more purpose for this Alloy (because let's face it - Netherite is an Alloy, Ancient Debre could be classified as "Ore").

Why not just make the gold bucket be able to carry two blocks of liquid, and the nether items three?

I pretty strongly disagree with this, seems like a change for change's sake. I think buckets are just fine as they are, but if they were to add more types of buckets, I'd personally rather them just carry more liquid.

I don't like this. Seems like a nerf to the bucket and a waste of netherite. I mean, to get back to a standard bucket, that can now break, you need 12 gold and 12 ancient debris just to move water and lava around. Durability is interesting, but I think that's getting a little too realistic

I think that is a good idea, but instead of just broke the bucket it should meke the bucket worse, like iron, iron rusts, so let's meke a rusted iron bucket, it loses water when used and broke Just when you use it to carry lava

Its a nice idea but i struggle enuff just trying to find iron to have derubility on a bucket is a cool idea so there for ill vote for it

I don't really like the idea because it would ruin alot of redstone contraptions that use water and lava in dispensers. There's ways to fix all of them but it would require a bulkier / less efficient solution. In cases where you can't fit a fill line for more buckets, it would require going back to doing water and lava streams the old way from before dispensers were introduced.

What would be the outcome when the bucket breaks? Would lava suddenly spill onto the ground?

While I do think this is a cool idea, it just doesn't feel right. Buckets have always been a certain way. I do like the idea of having a netherite bucket that would be lava proof because when your filling up lots of buckets in the nether and you fill too much the buckets will be thrown out in front of you and if we had this then we wouldn't have to worry about the buckets burning up

To be honest, I think just adding a netherite bucket would be great since this would allow for the automation of lava collection since a netherite bucket won't burn.

At the very least, this could be used to create different styles, like having a blackstone furnace

Gold Buckets could also be another thing to barter or distract Piglins with. Netherite would just be lava proof
