Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Magma Root

Magma Root is a block which absorbs lava 3x3, this block can be found near the magma shore or can be traded from the piglins. Adding this block can be much more easier to find the ancient debris.

I disagree that it would be easier to find ancient debris, but I believe it would help get rid of lava without turning it into obsidian. Maybe a new way to store lava and move it.

Is your idea regarding the block being a root meant to be a root of a lava dependent plant? If so that would be a really smart idea for a unique new plant that has a good purpose. Prehaps the plants name could be Scornpalm. Or maybe its part of an extinct fossilized nether plant?
