I often find myself playing multiplayer with an inexperienced player, whether its a girlfriend, older family member, or friend who doesn't play games often. I find that new players like these would rather focus on building a cool house or town with the blocks they collect, rather than worry about progression and combat. To accommodate for players like these I usually put the world on peaceful and turn on keepInventory to make the game more fun for them, but hindering me from experiencing the full game. I always wished there was a specific gamemode I can enable for new players so they don't have to worry about survival, while I can experience the full game in hard difficulty without keepInventory on.
Features of "Learner Mode" could include:
-Removal of the health bar and hunger bar, but can still take knockback from hits.
-Aggressive Mobs ignore players in Learner Mode, until provoked.
-A "Return Home" button in the inventory that teleports them back to their spawnpoint
even outside of the Mutliplayer setting, having a learner mode can allow for inexperienced players to become more situated with all of the game's features, since Peaceful Mode removes so many mobs with their exclusive drops and features.
