This is a great point that lava in the nether already has the same consistency of Overworld water so why not do the same for making it renewable?

This is excellent for the nether update! Lava buckets are used for smelting items, but they aren't stackable, making them difficult to be used for it. And the nether have too much lava! This isn't overpowered, I think.

Trading lava buckets aren't overpowered too, because the buckets disappear in the process.

I understand the idea for infinite lava sources, but I kind of get why they might not do it this way. Especially since obsidian is renewable, from piglin bartering, maybe this would be a good chance for a magic wand to come in. Maybe there could be a spell that dramatically heats up obsidian back into lava, so it would be like that's the only way for obsidian to get that hot to melt, and would keep other minecraft mechanics the same. This would make since, because people might abuse by just surrounding lava around to easily create more if the mechanics were similar to water, ( and lava is pretty powerful,) and people as a result might not have to come to the Nether as much. Maybe the spell could even only work in the Nether.
