Years ago, Minecraft Pocket Edition used to have a block called Glowing Obsidian. With the recent addition of Crying Obsidian to the latest snapshot, I started thinking back to this block. This inspired me to think of bleeding obsidian. Bleeding Obsidian would have one utility, and there are two ways to get it. The texture would be similar to crying obsidian, but with varying shades of red replacing the purple lines, and an overall reddish hue to the block. You can get it either by trading with Piglins or by breaking Crying Obsidian with a pickaxe without silk touch.
Bleeding Obsidian’s main purpose is to scare peaceful mobs. All mobs can still spawn near it (though none can spawn on it), but peaceful mobs will flee. Neutral mobs will be affected depending on the state they are in. The radius of the effect will be 9x9 blocks.
If anyone has any alternative names for this block, I would be grateful, because I don’t know if Mojang will allow anything to do with blood.

Here's my take.
Bleeding Obsidian technically already exists in real life. It forms as Obsidian normally would, but there is a large amount of iron present when forming, giving it red accent.
If you create Obsidian (with lava and water) next to iron ore, there could be a 10% chance of getting Bleeding Obsidian instead of regular Obsidian. Iron Blocks could be 100%, and you could even get creative with blocks like Anvils and Blast Furnaces and the odds of getting Bleeding Obsidian can change with every item with iron in it.
Bleeding Obsidian probably wouldn't do much except be a really cool decorative block to compliment Obsidian and Crying Obsidian. It'd be a cool block for builders and mapmakers.
