Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Fake Netherite Blocks

Netherite blocks look so cool, but they are so expensive there is pretty much no way you can use them for building in survival. So I thought it would be great if there was some kind of fake netherite, this would be a block that looks exactly like a netherite block. (but isn't blast resistant, can't be used for beacons, etc.)

I am not entirely sure how you would make this, maybe you could dye iron black, or it is a completely new ore that cannot be used for armour or tools, only for fake netherite blocks.

(I was inspired by fool's gold. It is a mineral that looks exactly like gold, but isn't.)

    How about running an Iron Block through a blast furnace so it comes out charred looking? Call it something like "Burnt Iron Block" or "Ruined Iron Block." The tradeoff here is that you wouldn't be able to craft it back into Iron Ingots.

    I like Justin Presley’s idea and I was thinking it could be one of a villager or wandering trader’s trades.

    I think it could be made with 1 Iron Ingot surrounded by Basalt, it's pretty cheap and makes sense.

    Also, the Fake Netherite could have a slightly different texture so you can differentiate them.
