Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Warped Soda - The Water of the Nether! (Plus Nether fish mob!)

Idea! hear me out. Warped Soda. The water of the nether!

Its appearance would be that of sparking blue water with a bluish light emanating from it. Much like how Lava glows.
 
Drinking it will give a bit of hunger back but drinking 3 to 4 bottles at a time could cause a rapid hunger decrease (akin to rotten flesh.)
 
If you place Warped soda over sponge, the sponge would soak up the liquidy stuff and leave sugar.
 
In the over-world, placing Warped Soda would cause it to fizz, creating a vent of bubbles outside of water. This could lift up players if they hold jump, and can even be done in the Nether if you place Warped Soda on top of a Magma Block.
 
A bucket of Warped Soda splashing onto Lava would create obsidian just like Water. If you try fishing in it, there is a very rare chance you could get Nether Quartz, Gold Nuggets, or if you have a really good fishing rod, Ancient Debris.
 
A liquid like this also could use a mob living in it, That being Goldfish. Goldfish would essentially be the Nether's salmon only bigger. They are extremely dangerous to eat raw. They MUST be cooked first or else they give the player a poison effect. They also die immediately in normal water. The vice versa being normal fish will suffocate in Warped Soda.
 
If you use shears on Goldfish, they can drop gold nuggets. Killing them with a sword also can sometimes do this but not that efficiently. You can breed goldfish using Warped fungi or Warped roots.

    I like the concept of diffrent types of water like this in the nether, and the idea of the goldfish is very clever for the whole nether theme in general. I would recommend and amendment to the shear and gold concept though since this seems a little overpowered. Maybe they could drop something else nether related like blaze powder, maybe it would be fun to have your handy goldfish Bubbles hanging around whenever you need to brew a potion!

    I have some questions.
    1. What does the sugar do? Maybe it could be used as bonemeal for plants?
    2. Where would you find the soda? Can you make it?
    3. Maybe it could be used as a way to fertilize nether crops. I think if we had crops we could only grow in the Nether it would reimburse the child idea of living in the nether. Like I said before maybe you could use the sugar left over from using a sponge on the soda could work as bonemeal on the nether crops. Thanks though, as I completely love this idea

    The sugar could be used as bonemeal for plants, yes! As for the location of the Soda, it would be found in the Warped Forest, from puddles, to lakes, to rivers, but probably not oceans given that its the Nether.

     

    Also another yes to the concept of it fertilizing crops!
