Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Ability to Use Stone Variants for Crafting Recipes

It would be cool if you could use variants of stone (granite, andersite, diorite and basalt) for recipes that use cobblestone and stone. Obviously not stairs, slabs, smooth variants, etc, but things like furnaces, maybe tools and other functional blocks. This would allow people to get important items like furnaces in the nether, so people can actually live solely in the nether.

    Agreed. No more words needed. This suggestion is important because I do not like burning Diorite.

    YES! If they don't add a Stone-tier Equivalent "ore" to the Nether THIS would be PERFECT. 

    AND on top of it, they could also have it for customization.

    Using all Granite? BOOM. Orangey-furnace & tools.

    Using Diorite? BOOM. Gray-White Tools & Furnaces.

    Using Basalt? BOOM! Jet-black tools and furnaces.
