The Blazing Desert (Nether Biome)

The Blazing Desert would be a desert-like biome in the Nether, which would have a blazing/smoky atmosphere. It would include a new type of sand (or ash-based soil) that allows the crafting of glass in the dimension, and could also be set on fire indefinitely just like netherrack. It could also have patches of magma blocks and basalt in the middle of the sand. Its fog would be gray and it would have blazing orange particles to give the smoky feel of a big fire. Its vegetation would include fiery variants of its overworld counterpart, like a fiery cactus that sets players and mobs on fire if they are not fire immune. It would also include some structures like lava wells and fossils. And it would be inhabited by blaze/fire related mobs.

Below, there's a picture that describes the biome visually. The look of its features can be changed so it doesn't feel too similar to other biomes.

    Sounds great. Maybe add some "firestorm" regions aswell? So if you go to that area you'll get burnt up

    cool idea but i dont think it should just be a nether verion of a desert biome but i love the idea of making an ash biome that has ash blocks witch can be turned into glass with blazes and things like that. still I really like this suggestion

    This would be great for blazes in the nether, because they shouldn't just spawn in fortresses.
