Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Netherite metal blocks

Craftable netherite metal (or scrap) doors, trap doors, metal bars, buttons, and pressure plates. These could be alternatives to wood, stone, and iron with an extremely high blast resistance similar to obsidian, maybe even able to contain wither explosions. A crafting recipe using netherite scrap rather than the igots could also provide an opportunity for interesting textures as well. Also see my post regarding solid blocks of netherite scrap.

    There are literally netherite blocks....that even have metallic sounds.

    Also your suggestion for netherite doors and all is really neat, but consider that so far we haven't received these sorts of variants for any metal as yet. I still support this, but maybe write a large suggestion (or this more focused one if you like) by itself so people can see it from the title. I'd vote for it.

    I like the wither resistance part, it is extremely hard to build a complicated wither cage, and netherite is so rare that most people wouldn't invest in making enough blocks to contain a wither, giving it an OP use seeing as it is so rare. maybe the armor would also be wither EFFECT resistant, see onyx from the NetherX mod for 1.6MC that has a version of the hoglin, piglin, and other really good ideas for the nether.

    Netherite Metal Door-  Looks like a solid, dark steel door with rivets around the edge and a wheel latch to open and close.  (think Bulkhead doors on a submarine)  Benefits of the door: This is a redstone required door just like the iron door, however it is blast/burn proof and will not break even if the block beneath it is broken.

    Netherite Metal Trap Door- Has a similar texture of the upper half of the netherite metal door. (a solid, dark steel door with rivets surrounding the edges)  Benefits of this trap door: This has the same indestructibility as the netherite door and will require redstone to open/close it, however unlike a normal iron trap door its un-powered state (Open/Closed) is dependent on the direction it's placed.  Meaning you could place it so it starts open without power by placing it at the top/bottom side of a block or closed without power when placed on any of the other 4 sides of a block. (like a normal trap door)

    Netherite Pressure Plate- Textured the same as a netherite trap door without rivets.  Benefits: Same indestructibility as other netherite metal objects but can not be activated by mobs.  It can only be activated by item entities that land on it.  (think of the opposite of a stone pressure plate)

    Netherite Metal Bars- A dark and dangerous variant of iron bars.  Has the classic netherite metal color but has spikes at the top of the upper most layer.  Benefit: Causes damage like a cactus when touched, and has the standard netherite metal durability.
