Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Ores should drop as ore pieces instead of blocks

To be honest, I think this is a great idea. But what would you do with the whole block if you used silk touch on it?

Silk touch blocks would work the same as it does with diamond, coal, red stone, and lapis.

Honestly such a no-brainer. It makes perfect sense!

Strongly agree. I think debris, gold and iron ores drop pieces of ore that could be smelted into netherite scraps and gold/iron ingots. Fortune increases this. 4 gravel also should be made into a cobble. Any overworld ore would drop 2-4 gravel as well. Lapis and redstone would drop as it does right now and diamonds/emeralds would drop uncut gems that need to be cut. Coal could drop 2-4 pieces + 1 per level of fortune. The ores could be found in a stone block tagged with an ore tag. Placing an ore item from creative could put it on the block. It would drop 2-4 gravel of the stone type along with the ore item, which could be cobbled.

Not only for Fortune, but also to avoid inventory clutter as they add new ore blocks for different types of stone (Looking at you deep slate ores).
