Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Strider Turtle Shell

1.16 is out introducing Netherite Armor, the new powerful armor type. However, many players want to keep using their turtle shells, and have the benefits of Netherite. This would make a Strider Turtle Helmet the perfect solution - upgrading the turtle helmet to be as strong as a normal diamond helmet whilst giving the player the temporary water breathing and a. temporary fire resistance effect. This would make the Strider Turtle shell be (in terms of power) as durable and strong as a diamond helmet, but weaker than a Netherite helmet. This helmet seems cool and all, but why should you care? You might find that it could be extremely useful during tricky nether expeditions, or that you don't need the extra benefits of the Strider Turtle Shell and would rather just stay with the extra player effects. Even if you think that you won't use it, it is still good to have choices.

The new Strider Turtle Helmet would most likely have the same texture, except with a dark grey coloring. The brown (probably leather) strap would stay the same color. It would be especially cool if the strap could connect with the netherite amour, but this wouldn't be necessary. The Strider Turtle Shell would be crafted with 5 strider scales (an item that is dropped by a strider) and 1 turtle shell.

Overall, the Strider Turtle Shell would be an amazing addition to the already incredible 1.16 update and so many players around the community would enjoy it.

    I think that adding tools and weapons of different woods would be a good detail

    I agree, but doing this kinda rules out netherite helmets, so why not have a new turtle shell variation?  i propose a strider scale  helmet. Striders could have a chance to drop Strider Scales when you use a Warped Fungus on a Stick boost. craft 5 in the shape of a helmet, and boom, you have a Strider scale helmet. it would have the same durability and protection of a iron helmet, and give 10 seconds of fire resistance to the wearer.

    i propose this to add some variation, instead of having an old item just being revamped, and it could give striders another use, as they can only be ridden at the moment.

    WolFrost07 I love your idea of using strider scales - at the time I originally posted this striders weren't a thing yet! If we combined the ideas, maybe you could craft a Strider Shell by crafting the 5 strider scales and 1 turtle shell together? This would keep your idea of giving the striders another use whilst keeping my idea of upgrading the turtle helmet. Thank you for sharing your idea!
