Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

it's not affected by fortune right now. it's more similar to iron than to diamonds in that regard.

There is a bug report done already regarding the fact Netherite blocks can't be used to activate beacons, and the devs have confirmed that that wasn't intended (they are going to change it so you can use them to power beacons in later snapshots). Although, I don't think we should use them to power a beacon, just because it is so rare.

A netherite beacon should be able to work in the nether, which would be a change from no beacons due to the nether roof

I think a fully Netherite block powered beacon or a normal beacon powered with a netherite ingot should come with some new powers.. Personally I would love to have one that stops hostile mobs spawning within the beacon radius, so we can make dark, atmospheric builds without having to light the entire place. It would be suitably 'endgame' enough not to be overpowered, especially if you wanted to cover a small town or city with these beacons!

What I think is that netherite and diamond beacons should have a larger radius of effects, or a stronger version of effects, like Haste III for diamond and Haste IV for Netherite.

What about a netherite beacon allowing for Fire Resistance.  Would fit the ability it gives diamond tools and the nether update.  Also would be very useful when exploring the nether (or maybe volcano bases in the overworld).

Make netherite beacon let all items float in lava instead of burning

Although I think a beacon of netherite blocks can take seriously long, it would be nice if they added functionality on it (which the idea has been around for years). Indeed as others say, more buffs like nightvision or more haste for more instamine, plus the anti-spawn.

I kinda wonder if there still will be a sort of Nether Beacon as I expect Mojang must have seen our "Beacon requests" for years now. I somehow expected it already if you see the amount of content 1.13 got. 1.16 is not very different in terms of content and things we did not expect.

If not, then there absolutly needs to be something if you make your beacon fully out of Netherite blocks. That, if even possible, should get tiers like instamine on all the blocks we mostly use instamine on, bigger radius of its effects, maybe have access to all available potion effects so you can choose and most importantly the anti spawn (that should be possible with Emerald and Diamond too btw, about about Emerald gets antispawn with its current radius, Diamond does x2 radius, and Netherite at least x4?)

Just throwing ideas which can be balanced.

It would be nice for netherite beacons to work in the nether and I think all that grinding should reward the player with "unique" affects. Also I think netherite beacons should have a larger radius.

Netherite beacon could be a fire resintance/non-tool burning in lava based on Netherites characters. #Netherite #beacon #Netheritebeacon
