Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

    Alternatively to existing as a new liquid, it could be bottled (for lubrication) and brewed with the splash effect (for use in combat)

    If it just bursts into flame in the nether, bottles of it could be weaponized.
    Just slippier flammable water. Would be great for mob farms as long as you keep it away from lava

    I think oil vials can be mixed with potions for a "sticky" effect.

    Oil has such a wide range of uses that it is impossible to list them all. You can speed up minecarts ("by oiling the wheels"), make mechanisms silent, work with dyes, work on leather, process iron and copper products. Make fire traps. Recreate the "physics of ice".
