Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Enchanted Glass/Magic Mirror/Portal

Crafted by crafting 2 windows on the glassing table (see my glassing table suggestion) and then enchanting the windows on the enchantment table. Then repeat once. (This is merely a suggested method) Using these 4 enchanted glass, you can make a two-mirror portal. A magic mirror is essentially a portal to wherever you build the second magic mirror. It will not teleport you between dimensions (such as from the overworld to the nether or the nether to the end), but only within the dimension you are currently in. For example, you could build a magic mirror at your main base, then go exploring while carrying the enchanted glass. This means you can explore much further without the fear of getting lost. Once you want to go back to base, you can build a magic mirror out of the enchanted glass. Because you can build more than one two-mirror portals, there needs to be a way to link one to the other. Putting dyed glass (or regular glass) around the enchanted glass will link two portals of the same glass color. If you do not build a glass border, then the portal will not activate. You can also build portals in the floor. You can build portals as big as you would like. Potentially, you can see through the portal to the other side. Your items do not travel with you through the portal (including armor). Any mobs (including hostile mobs) can come through the portals, so you'll want to be careful where you place them. If you can't see through to the other side, it could look like outer space.

    I would like to make clear that the glassing table doesn't have to be part of the recipe process. Neither do windows. Glass would work just fine.

    I like this idea but where would your stuff go ?
    And I would like to keep my stuff if I went through portals to different places

    @KAIDE12 If you go through the portal with your stuff, it will drop just outside the portal. However, I would suggest building a small hut and putting your loot in a chest before leaving. The point isn't for this to be an easy shortcut. It's just to allow further exploration without worrying you will lose your base.

    I've been considering a portal design with a similar function. I wanted a way for players to easily get in and out of a dimension with a portal type like the end. The idea would be that players could link new areas they explore with the portal home, sort of like how the small end portals work, but still requiring exploration. I was worried that the portals would ruin nether travel, though, so I thought I would limit it to that dimension to balance it a little more, if it were implemented.

    Need a little adjustment, first it just ca be used once after you craft it just like ender chest, second the item must be really hard to get, something like using diamond or other things that are really rare since a lot of things will be useless if this mirror exist, there's no more need of ladder, doors, map, minecart and potion of water breathing. Third, I hopes that it's has a regular mirror which can be used just as a furniture that reflect the image of your skin or villanger, you can make a new kind traps with the regular mirror too, like the zombie will attracted to the mirror that reflecting the villanger and try to eat em, of coz when the zombie hit the mirror the mirror will be broken after being hit several times just like the door, it can also make a good pair if there's a periscope block or something that can be use to reflect the light to other directions, periscope block can also be use to tranfer the light from the surface to your underground house or whatever, at the same time gives the solar panel more use in deeper ground
