Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

What I mean is to be able to craft clay balls via clay block in the crafting grid which you currently can't

Yes, it's so dumb that we can't do this. Breaking a block already gives 4 clay, the crafting would not break anything, would only save time from the annoying type of grinding ( Dig clay blocks with silk touch to save space, and then placing the blocks and dig again but without the silk touch to get the lumps, it's stupidly annoying for no reason ).

I don’t understand why we can’t do this. Just because we can smelt the blocks into terracotta is no reason to prevent this. I can craft anvils with iron blocks, but we still have the choice to uncraft iron blocks. When I’m mining clay, I make blocks using my inventory crafting grid out of the clay balls so my inventory doesn’t fill up too quickly. That’s the whole purpose, just like our coal. All our ores we can craft into blocks and then reverse craft once home. And clay is as common as coal so there’s no rarity like netherwart. We can’t reverse craft netherwart blocks, and so we have to be careful when we choose to make blocks. But clay? Come on. We do so much with the balls and we need the same convenience of carry that we need with our ores. Besides, allowing us to uncraft the clay blocks prevents farming XP by placing the clay over and over.
