Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

So like a lily pad, but you can't build on top to keep things fair.

Yes that would be helpful. You should also be able to place torches. It would be cool if fish were attracted to them and perhaps after a long time reefs grew around them, or at least kelp.

I think buoys would be really good for the new aquatic update. Since there are more things in the ocean to explore (reefs, fish, and kelp) players now want to explore the ocean more. The ocean looks the same every where so if you make one wrong turn you’re most likely going to get lost. With buoys you could keep track of where you have been. This way exploring the aquatic update would be more enjoyable. Also they should be different colors so that you will not get your paths mixed up.

Another block that's placeable on water would be really nice to have. They might think buoys are too modern though, so maybe a Floating Wooden Platform that you can place whatever on top or Floating Lanterns that provide sources of light.

When I find a underwater monument i mark it with dirt all the way up to the surface of the water and top it with a torch. Kind of a buoy, but it would be better if you could craft a buoy and just place i floating on a "solid" (not running) water block. It would be nice if the buoy could flash its light in a slow pace.

In the recipe would be a torch or lantern, and redstone (to make it flash) also iron and maybe a prismarine. It should take some effort to craft a buoy.

Consider making the bouy visible on maps, maybe even a flashing dot on a map.
Consider the possibility of coloring the ligth of the buoy, so you can mark the sea and map with 16 different colors of flashing light.
Consider making it possible to add the buoy with a nametag (for a description of the marked location).

    Please consider this suggestion.
