Pufferfish Armor

This idea is for Pufferfish armor. It would be crafted with Pufferfish like all armor. It doesn't give much defense or have good durability but it does give the player Poison Immunity and Water Breathing along with Seeing Under Water. When an enemy gets close the armor puffs up and when a enemy hits it it gives them some damage and poison.

    This sounded like a joke suggestion at first, but it's still really fitting for Minecraft, despite how weird it is. Minecraft is a weird game after all- you can ride pigs, there's mushroom islands, and much more.

    I will say, though, that night vision already greatly improves underwater vision, and honey (arriving in 1.15) removes poison. The part about the armor puffing up is already a thing with thorns as well.

    Yeah but it's like a free thorns so you don't need to enchant it. Also it does Poison damage

    I think this is a realy good idea, but instead of it being crafted with whole pufferfish they instead should drop somthing else and use that to craft. This should be super weak but good enough for early game. Another idea when you have a full set of it drowned wont want to attack you because pufferfish posin does alot of damage to them? Just a thought.

    Alternatively you should add a pufferfish to iron armor (like netherite to diamond). It’d give you better protection and durability than your original idea, but you need to crouch and like thorns, you have to be hit for it to work. Unlike thorns, if those conditions are met, it works 100% of the time.
