Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Using Shovels On Torches & Laterns Puts the Out

Torches are a relatively untouched feature of the game that needs improvement. So I suggest using the same feature camp fires have and put them out, well using flint and steel turns them back on. Also this could be applied to lanterns.

    I have one problem with this, people don't tend to have flint and steel on them, but frequently have shovels on them, also flint and steels are normally acquired slightly later in the game.

    Overall this means that it would be very easy for someone to turn off all of another person's torches, and slightly annoying to turn them back on. I don't see why in general they shouldn't just all be togglable by hand.

    Otherwise, good idea.

    You could relight torches with a lit torch, campfire, or lantern, but lanterns can only be lit using flint&steel or torches. lanterns could only be put out with splash water bottles. Maybe there could be a new mob that puts out torches to make lanterns more desirable.

    Good ideas
