No rain in savannah and desert rivers

Rivers are considered as biomes, and when the weather is rainy, it rains in them. But if a river is located in a desert, savannah, or between them, it looks very bizarre because it doesn't rain in these biomes, so there is only a veil of rain above the river. It would be more realistic if it didn't rain on these rivers.

    I very much agree and it is the main reason I don't like building in Savannahs and Deserts. I remember in one world building a bridge over a river between two Savannah biomes. During rainy weather, only the river and bridge had rain - it looked very odd. 

    Perhaps Mojang could set a variable that no rain appears in rivers located next to 'hot biomes' OR remove rivers as biomes, setting them more like spawn-able structures. Either way, this is something I really want to be implemented.

    Absolutely agreed. Badlands are my favorite biome, at least to look at, but the fact that it rains in rivers cutting through arid areas is such a huge turnoff for me, because it's not realistic. I also enjoy Minecraft rain a great deal, so I'm looking into mods that will make it rain in those biomes, instead.
