When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

    Thoughts:

-Signal strength inside the CPU would degrade per-slot the same as in-world (and input/output the same strength)

    Trickier blocks: Cauldron/Composter/Lectern/etc...

Cauldron/Composter: right click on them With item in hand (water bucket/bucket/compostable item) would interact with that item (fill cauldron/ add level to composter, right clicking a full composter would drop bonemeal on the ground)

Lectern: CTRL+Right click would cycle through pages (showing what page it is on) - no interface to view actual page though. Click with book would add it, Right click with empty hand would take book, additional right click would take lectern

I had considered a 7x7 grid, but that may be too limiting.

    +Player inventory below interface.

It is possible to create a feedback loop by taking input AND output from the same side

-consider signal strength displayed as number (or use texture pack to show it?) - or have NO signal degradation inside the CPU? ya know, 'cuz kinda instant/shorter than 1 block in-world?

(Note: re-post to original suggestion post, not sure if it went through, it was over character limit, but appeared to go through yesterday)

Sorry to say, but this is way too complex for vanilla minecraft.

Yeah I think that part of what makes redstone so interesting is how restrictive it is. The more "quality of life" features that are added, the less fun it becomes, in my opinion. Anyway, cool interface! Certainly would be an awesome mod.
