Large flat topped table mountains with sheer sides, similar to the tepui mountains of South America. Similarly to mesa plateaus they would have roughly flat tops overall but have steeper sides (making it difficult to climb up without digging or placing blocks) and be quite a bit taller.
They could be found in savanna and jungle biomes and have two main variants for the terrain on top: bare rock or forested. Forested could have an isolated jungle-like area with perhaps some unique features. Bare rock could have chaotic rock formations with large sinkholes and frequent caves.
Look up 'tepui' on your search engine of choice for more information on the kind of mountain I am getting at.
