In the final installment in my cloth update trilogy, we turn our attention to rabbit hide.
So, there are a number of items in the game which have limited use. Rabbit hide is pretty high on that list, with its only value being that it can be used to create leather in the absence of more reliable sources like cows, horses, and llamas, which has never been a common lack and has only gained reliability since the introduction of the wandering trader. So how do we change this?
Crafted from 9 rabbit hides, we have our answer: Fur blocks. Again, this is a cloth block, meaning it would be usable in the same recipes as wool. Fur would have a coarser, hairier texture when used, defaulting to brown and dyeable any of the 16 colors. In use, fur's rougher texture would lend itself well to more rustic or primitive builds, or add a certain plushness to a more modern build. If cloth type affects paintings, a more paleolithic theme would work well here.
With this, I conclude my trilogy of cloth update posts. I hope all of them get in, but even one would do well in my books.
