The 15 parallel dimensions

There should be several parallel dimensions, and every time you set up the portal it will take you to a random one of the 15 parallel dimensions. 5 dimensions for the nether, 5 for the end, and 5 for the overworld. When building the portal in any of these dimensions it will take you to one for that dimension. The portal is a 3x3 square of endstone, with 1 cobble on top, and fire, then you sacrifice a beacon in the fire.

    Or Nether Portals made of different things, like the Aether mod's portal.

    I think the recipe to get it should be different also I think it should just be one portal for each form
