Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Magma ore

!!!!! READ THIS FIRST !!!!!! I have already post a feedback post on a nether update this goes more into detail on one of the topics I posted in my feedback.

Moving on.

My proposal, magma ore OR fiery dust these are the MOST simplest forms of what I going to be referring as magma ore here fiery dust is a more complicated proposal than magma ore hens why I may go into it less.

So Magma ore would be a ore found elusively in the nether and would be as rare as say lapis, this material is once mines becomes and ore block and has to be smelted in a blast furnace only, once smelted you would get a magma ingot this item can be used to craft magma armor, swords and or tools.

Armor would give you fire resistance and heat.

Heat is an effect which mobs or players alike will begin to take damage in a nearby radius of 5 blocks from the origin in all directions (origin meaning the two blocks the player occupies) and would last as long as the player/mob is in the radius or has entered and exited the radius and will wear off after 25 seconds after leaving said radius however heat does not affect players/mobs with fire resistance.

Tools such as pickaxe will auto smelt iron ore when mined however tool has durability of stone pick but can mine diamonds however can not mine emeralds, shovel would set surroundings on fire when used on a block.

Magma sword would also give off the heat effect and would always set players on fire as if the a sword had fire aspect 5 (just for longer)

    For those of you wondering about fiery dust here is my crafting recipe

    Gold ingot + furnace + pure gold ingot (smelting)

    Puregold ingot + diamond = diamond laced gold (crafting)

    2 diamond laced gold + axe = golden dust (crafting)

    golden dust + blaze powder = fiery dust (crafting)

    fiery dust = water bucket = fiery clay (crafting)

    fiery clay + furnace = fiery ingot (smelting)

    You can now see why I didn't include it.

    I think netherite better fits this sort of concept.

    But I do see how you got the idea, but magma already is in the game. So may I suggest prehaps magma can be cooled down next to blue ice into a unique type of quartz, like in real life?

    This quartz could be a more refined crystalized quartz that can be used in redstone but only used in making various quartz crystal blocks.
