Using json file to make 3D armor model

If the armor can use json file like blocks and items to make them have a unique looking , then why not?
It would be great for those people who can make resource packs.

  I agree, I want to make 3D Armors for my resource pack but actually it's impossible :/ I hope one day we can

  It'd be very nice to add, and would help making armor in resource packs much nicer, and will help give you more options

  I agree, and it would be great for those of us who make datapacks + Resource packs if they also worked with custom model data, allowing us to make multiple forms of custom textured and modeled armor. I work with Json modeling quite frequently for my datapack and resource pack, the addition of unique Json files for armor wouldn't be difficult at all and would give Mojang themselves more ability to be creative in later updates.
