I think there's room for improvement in the enchanting system. Right now it doesn't provide much freedom; you pretty much just go for specific enchantments to get your "god set" every time.
Imagine this: you slot a book into the enchanting table, add the word "fire." This could have a random effect, possibly even setting yourself on fire when you apply it to a sword. You need to add the modifier "strike", and it would now set enemies on fire like fire aspect. Or instead, you could add the modifier "bolt" and it would shoot a fire charge. Adding the word "light" would cause smite damage against undead, "ice" would slow down mobs, etc. (I'm just making some stuff up here, the details can be modified.)
This system can also be given other uses. For example, you could get an enchanted book, and slot it into a beacon to let it apply unique effects to players. Or, you could right-click a golem with an enchanted book and the golem would read it as a set of instructions, where the world "fire" in this case would mean the golem must set things on fire. This would be a huge tool for automation. Basically I think this enchanting system would really enhance the creativity of the game and also have a ton of new content to be explored, although I admit it would be a little tough on the developers.
