Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Elytra Debuff and Slot

My suggestion is to create a slot dedicated for elytra. It doesn't look quite right with the elytra and missing chestplate. Putting the elytra in the wing slot will cause you to receive a debuff which causes your chestplate to do nothing.

One issue might be that in pvp you might not be aware that someone has less armour than you. To fix this possible issue having the debuff will cause the chest plate to have a shine different from enchantments or have a slight but noticeable texture change.

A different particle or texture might make players think this is a buff. There should be either something similar to a potion effect displayed or make it that hovering over an equipped chest plate with elytra equipped will show "Curse of Elytra" or something like that in red text.

I think that this won't affect gameplay at all. I think it will also make players look better.

    Could you please clarify this for me when you have the elytra in the vingslot and a chestplate on will the chest plate protect you or is it just decorative if you mean that the chestplate is supposed to protect you then you have my vote

    would be better if the elytra was no debuff, it shouldnt be any trade, only improve :v

    I think this would be great without the debuff, that ruins the point of wearing both simultaneously, it is just something else to burn up in lava
