Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Throwing Torches

When you are looking over a deep dark cavern and you here mob noises but cant see.  Wouldn't it be nice to just throw a torch down there.  You could throw the torch and it would land as if it were placed like a normal torch.  That way you could see with out risking your life or items.  This would make it much easier to go mining especially in deep caves.  It would also greatly increase your chances of not dying early on in hardcore mode.

    I was playing the new Snapshot of 21w06a and realized that all the caves were a bit too dark, so adding a craft able throwable torch would be a great idea to promote lighting in the missive caves that are coming

    Or it could be shoot with a crossbow, like u put the torch on off hand like fireworks and arrows then shoot them.
