Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Golden anvils

The golden anvil is an anvil that allows you to craft better enchantments and enchant beyond 40 levels.

For example, you can craft sharpness V with another sharpness V to create sharpness VI. and so on. there should be a limit, but really, it should go pretty high before it doesn't allow you to create better enchants.

Also, the current limit for enchantments on an item is 5. This is increased to 7 with a golden anvil.

This concept would also pave the way for more enchantments.

    Gold is a weak metal so the anvil would have very low durabillity. If anything getting high enchantments using it should be a gamble for instance I want Sharpness V on my sword and there is a 30% chance that the book won't bond to my sword. So in other words each high end book used on the gold anvil to enchant gear has a persentage saying what the chances of the enchantment book working.

    This might be a little overpowered, but here's how I see it:

    Enchantments and repairing aren't limited, meaning you will never see the "too expensive" message appear underneath. To balance this out though, enchantments would be very expansive, maybe costing hundreds of levels, something worth the effort for some people.

    I also imagine the anvil, being gold, would have to have some sort of a power or sacrifice system put into it. Similar to how enchantment tables benefit from bookshelves, maybe golden blocks could surround the anvil, and increase its power.

    I like the idea of going beyond 40 levels, but not increasing max enchantment level to 7. Additionally there should be a 100% chance to damage the gold anvil each use as it's a powerful mechanic and gold is a weak material
