In my opinion, the ice biomes dont have a lot of use besides ice. Maybe if caves could be found inside the ice biomes. In this biome, you will often stumble upon a new type of ice: cracked ice. This ice is affected by gravity and can suffocate the player. However, these caves are not common. Because they are very rare, there could be some very valuable things inside. Exploring the cave is difficult, too, due to the steep incline, the water flow being everywhere, and a lot of Strays. However, when you get deep into the cave, you begin to find some very interesting things. One of these things you can find are fossils. Inside these caves, fossils become slightly easier to find. Occasionally, you may run into research stations, small wood buildings the size of witch huts. Inside, you can find some loot such as coal, rotten flesh, and occasionally, some rare ores. It occasionally has a new enchanting book inside: the freeze enchantment. This can be enchanted on a sword. When the sword hits a player or mob, their health bar turns blue and they deal less damage for a short amount of time. But what many others come to this biome is for something else: underwater lakes. These huge lakes consists of a lot of water and some stalactites made entirely of ice. The area around the lake is huge.
A couple of interesting things about this biome:
1. The light level is always 4 if no external light sources are placed.
2. Strays spawn in slightly larger groups in the caves.
