Cassowaries are native to the humid rainforest of New Guinea, nearby smaller islands, East Nusa Tenggara, The Maluku Islands and to northeastern Australia. They will, however, venture out into palm scrub, grasslands, savanna, and swamp forest.

YES. However, feeding them shouldn't make them attack you. I think getting within 2 blocks, hitting them, approaching one with a chick, or potential random outbursts (though rare) should be when they attack you. They would be a little smaller than ostriches, with less health. Cassowaries can kill you with one kick, so I would give them a damage output of 14 easy, 17 normal, and 20 hard. If they attack you from random outbursts or being too close, they will strike once before running off a small distance and losing hostility. If they have a chick or you attack them, they will keep attacking until you die or escape. Chicks would be passive, but if you hit them they will run away and find an adult (if one is nearby). Adult cassowaries only drop 2-3 feathers, but if you shear them you can collect 4-5, though they may become hostile from this (similar to getting too close). You can feed them most fruits (apples, sweet and glow berries, new fruits being potentially added?), but no cocoa. They should be found in Giant Tree Jungles, as these are thicker with vegetation. If you feed them, they regenerate their feathers. When moving, they walk as fast as a sheep, slower when sheared, but when angry, they will sprint as fast as a baby zombie, though slower if sheared. They cannot float off edges like a chicken can, but they are smart enough to not walk through lava, cacti, or off cliffs.
