Willow Wood
I think Minecraft needs another style of wood, and to go with the fantasy style of Minecraft, I think a grey wood would be a nice addition to make some more fantasy style buildings with more variation.
Trees
The tree should be around 7 blocks tall and have leaves that drop down instead of sticking onto the tree, such as how oak trees in Minecraft look, like real willow trees, possibly even having leaves that surround the whole trunk of the tree with a 2 block gap in between the trunk and the "leaf-ring". The trunk itself should be just one block thick and there only really needs to be 1 block thick of leaves on top of the trunk.
Location
Swamp biomes only really have Slimes and Witch's Huts as reasons to go there, I think having this new wood be found here would be a nice addition to encourage players to explore it. The Willow also fit the aesthetic of a Swamp with the grey, muted colour.
Aesthetics
The look of the log should be a dark grey bark with a light grey inside, and when crafted, the planks should be a light grey that matches the log. I think Minecraft needs a wooden textured grey block too so we can use grey wood and other woods instead of having to use stones as a substitute. Looking back at many buildings of the medieval to Victorian time period too, many use grey wood namely in farms, from barns to just the farmhouses. This would introduce a new style of houses and if the right grey is chosen, it could go well with another grey block like cobblestone.
