While this may seems like a good idea, is nothing else than a way to make resources and features that had been updated recently obsolete...

I'm sorry but this is just for mods.

Mike T.A., That's like saying that the fire aspect should be removed because it makes smokers obsolete.

I also had the same idea. I think, however, it should only work with ores. Being used on stone would be very annoying.

Having it work like that would be extremely OP. It should only work on ores. Maybe it could be combined with fortune?

I like this idea, but I think it shouldn’t work on wood, as it is supposed to be mined with an axe rather than a pickaxe, and I don’t think it should smelt cobblestone because that would make it harder for resource collecting if you wanted cobblestone.

To expand upon this idea as a whole, I think it should conflict with silk touch (as those two enchantments wouldn’t go together by their nature). I think it would be cool if it had five enchantment levels, with level I having a 25% chance to make ores smelt, level II have a 50% chance, level III having a 75% chance, and level IV having a 100% chance. By level V, which would have to be made by combining two level IV books on an anvil, the Fortune enchantment would have an effect on the ores the pickaxe would smelt. The enchantment would have an enchantment weight of one, meaning it would have the lowest possible chance of appearing as an option on an enchantment table, due to how overpowered it is. Perhaps if enough people feel it is too overpowered at this point, it could just be a treasure enchantment, making it unobtainable via enchantment table. Also, if enough people feel the level V ability is too overpowered, than I would suggest that it also conflict with Fortune, and have only four enchantment levels, all doing the same thing as described earlier.

What do you guys think of this?
