Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

    It's just an idea but I think it would be really really cool. Also it's all adjustable so if you think something is too OP, then Nerf it, and vise versa.

    Another Idea I had was that there could be like an end stone ore block, and in order for you to fuse something, you would need end ore (Like lapis in an enchantment table) and based on what mineral you fuse, it would determine the amount of end ore used.

    Emerald=3 end ore

    Iron=1 End ore

    Also you could make blocks of of end ore like nether quartz

    I like the idea of upgrading armour/tools but I think it should only use more unique materials.

    Some examples could be:
    Emerald: one damage/protection,
    Spider eye: poison/poison resistance,
    Wither bones: wither/wither resistance,
    Magma cream: auto smelt/fire variant of thorns,
    Puffer fish: nausea/nausea resistance,
    Zombie flesh: hunger/hunger resistance.

    These effects would be weak but useful.
    You should only be able to forge one item into your tool so it isn't over powered, and I don't think the improvement should ever go away unless it is put in a grindstone, otherwise it would be annoying, always haven to reforge your stuff.

    I think instead of each tool being able to fuse with each material, each tool should have its own exclusive fusion material that entirely changes the name of the tool, as well as enhances the tool
    Diamond tool/armour + netherite ingot = netherite tool/armour (+ durability, + armour toughness, + knock back resistance, + damage, + enchant ability)
    Gold tool/armour + Lapis lazuli = Lapis tool/armour (+enchant ability)
    Iron tool/armour + coal = steel tool/armour (+durability, + knock back resistance, + damage, - enchant ability)
    Stone/wood tool + string = makeshift stone/wood tool (+durability)
    Chain mail is fine how it is
    Leather armour + wool = studded armour (+ knockback resistance)

    Combine armour with other materials/items to grant them unique buffs or abilities. A totem, granting the armour 1x use of the totem ability, a netherstar to make it be bound to your player for 1x on death, and maybe others. I very much agree with the other suggestions in this thread being able to combine different types of materials with armour changing it into a completely new type with unique properties. The smithing table could offer custamizable tools, weapons and armour, adding massive amounts of content to the game.
