Softcore mode

So, I kinda got this idea from a lyric in the song "Revenge". You all know that song. The lyric is "Your healthbar drops and you could use a 1-up."

Anyways, the idea is basically an easier version of hardcore mode. It's for people who want a challenge but aren't entirely up to doing hardcore. There will be an icon in the top-right corner displaying a small Steve and a number next to him. That is how many extra lives/1-ups you have. That number starts at 0. If you die and you don't have any extra lives, your world gets deleted, like in hardcore. You can earn extra lives by doing certain things, such as killing mobs. You don't have to pick them up like normal items, as they automatically collect. Doing certain things has a higher chance of giving you an extra life than other things. Here are the things you can do and how high of a chance it has of giving you an extra life.

•Killing passive mobs - 1%
•Killing neutral/hostile mobs (excluding bosses) - 5%
•Killing bosses - 100%
•Mining coal - 10%
•Mining iron - 20%
•Mining gold - 30%
•Mining diamond - 40%
•Mining emerald - 50%
I really hope you guys like this idea since it is the first one I have posted here. I really don't expect this to be announced or even put under review because it is just something I thought of randomly. I would appreciate it, though. Thank you for reading!

    I really like the idea of being able to get extra lives but I feel like the percentages are way too high. At that point, Lives wouldn't matter because you'd have so much of them. I think it'd honestly be better if all those had in between 1% and 10%. You could get over 10 extra lives in just 1 minecraft day from mining, and at that point, there isn't really a challenge. Also, defeating a raid would be a good thing to add to that list with maybe a 30% chance.
